ENQUIRING “AI” MINDS WANT TO KNOW! WHAT DID HE SAY?
📰👋🏽Sam Altman is leaving OpenAI with the Board saying he wasn’t always “candid” in his communications😖. Best for the Board and company to get this and any other C-level positions cleared up while they are still a private rather than down the road as a public company.
📅The timing is especially notable as OpenAI (the maker of ChatGPT) has been negotiating a secondary sale of employee shares to investors at an approximate valuation of $86 billion; that value may need to be trimmed or the sale delayed because of uncertainty regarding top management.
🔙If Sam Altman is leaving, it raises the chance that other key figures at the company may exit with or soon after him, possibly to start a new venture.
🗣Of course, the juicy news that enquiring minds now want to know is what exact communications was Sam Altman not “candid” about. Everyone is wondering!🤔
📉The impact on OpenAI will be noticeable, especaily in the short-term, but less so on the behemoth that is Microsoft which holds a large stage in it.
